Dear Neurosurgical Colleagues:
It is my sincere honor to serve as president of the Tennessee Neurosurgial Society for 2012.
The 2012 Meeting will be held in Chattanooga on August 10,11,12. Please save this date. This is the hot time of the year, but should be a little cooler than Memphis or Nashville. The meeting has been moved up one week to allow more time for back to school obligations.
The host hotel is the Sheraton Read House, which offers an ideal mix of proximity to downtown attractions, impeccable accommodations, and updated meeting spaces. Mistina Pannell is already hard at work preparing for a great weekend.
ACADEMIC PROGRAM Plans are underway for yet another great scientific program. Dr. Jon Robertson has agreed to serve as our Key Note Speaker, and he will undoubtedly give an excellent presentation as he reflects on his career as the UT Neurosurgery Chairman. All volunteers to give a scientific or clinical talk are greatly appreciated.
ACTIVITIES: Chattanooga is a vibrant, fun town and is perfect for a summer’s end getaway. I hope you will consider bringing your family. Some of the great social activities planned are: -Morning bike rides through the Scenic City (bring your bike) -Saturday afternoon riverfront gathering with boating, skiing, tubing, and Resident Olympics, followed by a dockside reception. -Saturday afternoon golfing at the Chattanooga Country Club -Behind the scenes tour of the Tennessee Aquarium -Riverside concert Saturday Night -Coolidge park with its Children’s Fountains and Carousel -The Children’s Creative Discovery Museum and the IMAX theatre.
I hope you and your family will make plans to attend. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions.
Sincerely,
Daniel Kueter, MD |
